Amelia Sweetland

Amelia trained at East 15 Acting School & graduated with a Masters in Acting. As well as acting Amelia lends herself as a writer, director and most recently a film-maker after making her first short called Sharp Edges exploring issues such as mental health and anxiety which showcased as an integral part of her theatre production of Sharp Edges at last year’s Camden Fringe. Since graduating Amelia has been involved in various devised and co-produced productions at London Vaults (2014) at the Camden Fringe (2015, 2016) and at the Arcola Theatre (2014) where last summer she also assistant directed Maria de Buenos Aires as part of the Arcola’s Grimeborn season. Amelia returned from living and working in Madrid, Spain at the end of last year after a six month acting tour with Face to Face Theatre Company and directing fringe theatre with British Shorts.

Amelia first met Lorenzo Fantini through her good friend Rosie Frecker and played the Leader’s Wife in a theatre production of The Choice at The Proud Archivist (2015) written by Lorenzo Fantini which was originally read at a previous Screen Rebels showcase.

Amelia is delighted to be collaborating with Screen Rebels and to have the opportunity to read and perform new screenplays. Amelia hopes to develop her own project Sharp Edges further this year.
